my favorite rollercoasters :)

This is X2,  Six Flags Magic Mountain, CA
We rode this one at night. It had special effects like music speakers in the headrest, and a blast of fire as you pass. Your seat rotates independently while the train stays the same. So with the physics of the coaster, you spin. It was amazing, and worth the long cold wait.

This is Bizarro. Six Flags New England, MA

Smooth, fast, scenic, high, terrifying, yet fun. We almost lost our hair. :)

Top Thrill Dragster, Cedar Point, OH
Although this coaster is technically not as fast or as tall as KingDaKa in Six Flags Great Advenuture, I went on this one first so it was more memorable. This coaster goes approx 120 mph, using hydrolics to shoot you 420 ft into the sky, and then you swivel back down to earth. Your mind can't process the speed, but there's no turning back. :)

On that note, here is a video of a rollercoaster that takes you backwards half way through.
I had fun but this is probably the only coaster in the world that has given me mild motion sickness.

Ugh, I have so many more favorites but I can't remember the names.

hellllllllllooooooooo

On Monday I had my second job interview, and that night left with my younger sister for Iowa, where my older sister goes to college.

The interview went okay, but I think I was given a little too much guarantee at my first one, so I thought my foot was already in the door. But this time the guy told me there was a whole bunch of other people applying, and even showed me the stack of applications.  He said he'd call on Friday, whether I got the job or not. Guess who didn't call me? That's fine, moving on. I'm going to look into bartending, because that's my only other option in this town other than fast food. I don't want to move backwards. I like trying new things.

Another thing going on is the fact that I will finally be going to Europe with Mat, his bro, his ma, and Angie. We're going to visit Mat's sister in Albania, and go sight seeing in France and Italy. Mat and his mother have been planning out the itinerary and figuring all that shit out. We're going in March. I was thinking New York would be my last adventure for awhile. It's a dream come true. I'm so excited. I hope I can find some money before that!

So, anyways, Angie just finished high school early so her way of celebrating was going on a mini roadtrip to visit Lindsay. We drove to her college and stayed in her dorm for a few days. We explored the campus and I took a few pictures with my dslr.  my flickr
We had some fun exploring a supposedly haunted music house.
Supposedly if you play music and you're good, the spirits make you happy. And if they don't like your music, you get sick. I played a couple old pianos and took some creepy pictures. There were finger nail streaks in a window. It was scary! Angie said she saw some one walking but they didn't say hello back. And we heard weird noises but it was probably our imaginations. The weird part was after we left and went to the art studio I felt sick! but I'm thinking it was the mold. (or the spirits! oooh)

Lindsay and Angie are both very artistic, but I only indulge in photography, so I posed for a few drawings. That was fun! The interesting part was staying still. They are so good at drawing and painting. It makes me proud.

We also got to see some of the theatre departments work with a fast paced production. No sets, just actors costumes and sound effects. They put together a few performances in just a week or something. So there were like five short plays. Lindsay was a mermaid. :) It was cool.  I was really impressed.
We also went shopping and I got my Victoria's Secret fix. I am so addicted to that stuff. I love feeling glamorous. I love all the different kinds of bras and panties. And lingerie. If only I could find a way to incorporate that with my career.

I feel bad for college kids in Mount Vernon, the food is so bad. I noticed college isn't about education. It's about survival!

The last day, we all went ice skating at the mall. It was fun, even though I was really tired and the skates hurt my feet. I didn't fall!
It's so hard to sleep away from home. But Lindsay was nice enough to let me sleep in her bed all three nights.
Her roomates were all very nice and fun. It was so nice to have girl time!
Lemme just say real quick, cold sores suck! I got one right before my interview, and have been suffering it ever since.

Then on the last day, Mat called and said I needed to be in West Bend by 1 pm the next day ( to sign up for passports the place closed at 2 pm). We were originally planning on leaving in the morning but didn't want to risk not waking up in time so Angie and I decided to leave that night.
We all went to Perkins (the only restaurant open) as a last hurra all dressed up in crazy clothes and sunglasses at night. Then around 2 am angie and i hit the road. I got home at 6 am, exhausted, to find Mat sick. Poor Mat, he is always getting sick.
The next day we got up and had to take the shitty red chevy van (farm truck) to sign up for passports by 2pm. It was like the amazing race. We even switched vehicles with his dad, which was nice meanwhile I'm calling my mom trying to find info I need to get a passport ( dad's birthdate, etc) Luckily we switched cars cause Mat left his birth certificate in there. It was really important that we had everything we needed on time or we'd have to pay an extra hundred dollars each, or not be able to go on the trip at all, because passports take 4-6 weeks to come and we're leaving in like 5 I think.

Mat was really stressed out cause he's been dealing with all these plans while he's super sick. Usually when Mat's grumpy, I know food always helps, so we ate. It was nice to do something with just him after being gone and after all the crazy planning for the trip. We decided to just go home and play video games. (his one day off) And I drove for him. I drove stick! :) first time in like a year, and I didn't clunk out once. My problem is I get so nervous my feet shake. But it was fine.

We were planning on having a little drink-off with our friends like we did last week but Mat needed to rest so there's always next week. I had so much fun but I was tired from Iowa.

Now today, I have to catch up on laundry and maybe I'll see if I can get a bartending license online. I don't know anything about that.

asdfghjkl;

On more important matters, I went to my interview today. And waited an hour for a ten minute talk. Wow. Anyways, it looks like I'm gonna get the job. Just gotta go in for another interview. I've never worked at a grocery store before.

If you haven't seen Black Swan yet, go see it. It will freak you out. I love Natalie Portman so much. She literally will shave her head for you.

I love the 60's. The women were so classy and beautiful. You could smoke anywhere you wanted. Everybody cooked their own food. Obviously I wasn't there but thanks to the show Mad Men I like to imagine what it was like.

Mat is asking me to get off the internet cause it's making his game lag. lol.

Day One!

Listening to: Neda by Airborne Toxic Event
Mood:  Distant

I haven't done this in awhile! What should we talk about?
Well, today I finally called Piggly Wiggly. I put in an application a couple days before Christmas and have been trying to get a hold of a hiring manager whenever I got the nerve to pick up the phone.
And I got an interview! I'm either going to be a checkout girl. Beep. Or somebody in the produce department. I don't care, I really need a job. I've been unemployed since farming ended. Actually, I stopped farming pretty early this year. I just got tired.
But I've been keeping myself amused. Video games, work out games, Netflix, house work, family matters.
It's funny how much you find to do at home when you live out in the country.
When I lived in the city I was always bored cause if you wanted to do something it cost money. Or you had to be 21. I'm 19. (yes, counting down til that birthday)

Anyways, I stole this from Jessie :)
Day One:
 Something you hate about yourself

Something I hate about myself? What a negative way to open.lol. I hate how contradictory I am with perfectionism. If there is something I feel like I won't be very good at, I won't do it. I won't try to succeed, because I'm scared of the outcome. For example, I am terrified to drive stick. Mat insists I should just push through the nerves. I can do it, but I don't want to do badly. It was the same way in school. I wouldn't try at all, I preferred F's over B's. I didn't want to know how smart I was. Or wasn't.

Day 1. Something you hate about yourself.
Day 2: Something you love about yourself.
Day 3: Something you have to forgive yourself for.
Day 4: Something you have to forgive someone for.

Day 10: Someone you need to let go, or wish you didn’t know.
Day 11: Something people seem to compliment you the most on.
Day 12: Something you never get compliments on.
Day 13: A band or artist that has gotten you through some tough ass days. (write a letter.)
Day 14: A hero that has let you down. (letter)
Day 15: Something or someone you couldn’t live without, because you’ve tried living without it.
Day 16: Someone or something you definitely could live without.
Day 17: A book you’ve read that changed your views on something.
Day 18: Your views on gay marriage.
Day 19: What do you think of religion? Or what do you think of politics?
