hellllllllllooooooooo

On Monday I had my second job interview, and that night left with my younger sister for Iowa, where my older sister goes to college.

The interview went okay, but I think I was given a little too much guarantee at my first one, so I thought my foot was already in the door. But this time the guy told me there was a whole bunch of other people applying, and even showed me the stack of applications.  He said he'd call on Friday, whether I got the job or not. Guess who didn't call me? That's fine, moving on. I'm going to look into bartending, because that's my only other option in this town other than fast food. I don't want to move backwards. I like trying new things.

Another thing going on is the fact that I will finally be going to Europe with Mat, his bro, his ma, and Angie. We're going to visit Mat's sister in Albania, and go sight seeing in France and Italy. Mat and his mother have been planning out the itinerary and figuring all that shit out. We're going in March. I was thinking New York would be my last adventure for awhile. It's a dream come true. I'm so excited. I hope I can find some money before that!

So, anyways, Angie just finished high school early so her way of celebrating was going on a mini roadtrip to visit Lindsay. We drove to her college and stayed in her dorm for a few days. We explored the campus and I took a few pictures with my dslr.  my flickr
We had some fun exploring a supposedly haunted music house.
Supposedly if you play music and you're good, the spirits make you happy. And if they don't like your music, you get sick. I played a couple old pianos and took some creepy pictures. There were finger nail streaks in a window. It was scary! Angie said she saw some one walking but they didn't say hello back. And we heard weird noises but it was probably our imaginations. The weird part was after we left and went to the art studio I felt sick! but I'm thinking it was the mold. (or the spirits! oooh)

Lindsay and Angie are both very artistic, but I only indulge in photography, so I posed for a few drawings. That was fun! The interesting part was staying still. They are so good at drawing and painting. It makes me proud.

We also got to see some of the theatre departments work with a fast paced production. No sets, just actors costumes and sound effects. They put together a few performances in just a week or something. So there were like five short plays. Lindsay was a mermaid. :) It was cool.  I was really impressed.
We also went shopping and I got my Victoria's Secret fix. I am so addicted to that stuff. I love feeling glamorous. I love all the different kinds of bras and panties. And lingerie. If only I could find a way to incorporate that with my career.

I feel bad for college kids in Mount Vernon, the food is so bad. I noticed college isn't about education. It's about survival!

The last day, we all went ice skating at the mall. It was fun, even though I was really tired and the skates hurt my feet. I didn't fall!
It's so hard to sleep away from home. But Lindsay was nice enough to let me sleep in her bed all three nights.
Her roomates were all very nice and fun. It was so nice to have girl time!
Lemme just say real quick, cold sores suck! I got one right before my interview, and have been suffering it ever since.

Then on the last day, Mat called and said I needed to be in West Bend by 1 pm the next day ( to sign up for passports the place closed at 2 pm). We were originally planning on leaving in the morning but didn't want to risk not waking up in time so Angie and I decided to leave that night.
We all went to Perkins (the only restaurant open) as a last hurra all dressed up in crazy clothes and sunglasses at night. Then around 2 am angie and i hit the road. I got home at 6 am, exhausted, to find Mat sick. Poor Mat, he is always getting sick.
The next day we got up and had to take the shitty red chevy van (farm truck) to sign up for passports by 2pm. It was like the amazing race. We even switched vehicles with his dad, which was nice meanwhile I'm calling my mom trying to find info I need to get a passport ( dad's birthdate, etc) Luckily we switched cars cause Mat left his birth certificate in there. It was really important that we had everything we needed on time or we'd have to pay an extra hundred dollars each, or not be able to go on the trip at all, because passports take 4-6 weeks to come and we're leaving in like 5 I think.

Mat was really stressed out cause he's been dealing with all these plans while he's super sick. Usually when Mat's grumpy, I know food always helps, so we ate. It was nice to do something with just him after being gone and after all the crazy planning for the trip. We decided to just go home and play video games. (his one day off) And I drove for him. I drove stick! :) first time in like a year, and I didn't clunk out once. My problem is I get so nervous my feet shake. But it was fine.

We were planning on having a little drink-off with our friends like we did last week but Mat needed to rest so there's always next week. I had so much fun but I was tired from Iowa.

Now today, I have to catch up on laundry and maybe I'll see if I can get a bartending license online. I don't know anything about that.
